I have a friend with a 1 ton that is a major pain. Another with a 304 ton
like yours and absolutely loves it. The guy with the 1 ton drives the 3/4
now and then and is always disgusted with his truck afterward. The 1 ton

Your AC compressor will not run with out any (or low) Freon in it. There's a
low pressure switch that detects the low pressure situation and prevents it
coming on. As far as gaining those elusive 500 hp in your 240D, the AC
compressor is free-wheeling and without the compressor
GM says DO NOT use any chips and such on the DUramax. They say it is tuned
as good as it gets and any mods will burn out the catalyst from too high of
EGT's.
