I have the same problem. I think the heat softens the adhesive and they just come apart. The butt joint with about 1/2" of tape just doesn't cut it. I have been thinking to put some fiberglass sheetrock mesh tape on the back with some kind of flexible adhesive like shoegoo and see that

Been using my electric belt sander recently on wood and finding that the belts ( 3" X 21") do not last more than a few minutes because they come apart at the seams, every one of them. I suspect it's because they are old - but why? Do they deteriorate with age? Do they have a shelf life? Anyone

So for those who have owned/driven this model, I'm curious as to your impression of their performance since they're not turbocharged. Are they doggy in comparison to the turbo version? Do you have to drive them with your foot into the pedal? I love the performance of the OM603 in my W126.
