The Frankenheap (W115) has (had?) a column shifter _and_ a floor shifter.
Somebody converted it to floor, it was built as a column shifter.

those float things.
As an added benefit, you can use the same tool to measure specific gravity
(state of charge) of batteries, too.
I’ve had one for years. Almost as handy as a “Kriket” belt tension tool.
