Well I think there is plenty of info to say the original question has been answered. Far as the you beaut MB V6 goes, the new Toyota quad cam V6 is much the same. 200kw/268hp 10L/100K's or 23.5mpg although it is a 3.5 litre and the MB V6 3.5 also puts out 200kw but uses a little bit less fuel.

Might pay to teach your son to put more fuel in the car when the light comes on, it is considered bad to reset the trip meter with the car in motion (well it is in the notorious W123 trip/odometers). I personally don't understand why some people only refuel when they are very near empty.

Cold enrichment is more for idling than when the car is in motion. I am not 100% up to speed on the last versions of the CIS/E system but the basis of all CIS/E systems is that even without any electric input they continue to work. That is why MB was so reluctant to let go of the sytem, even

The problem with the 123 set up is that the little wheel spins on the little shaft and what happens when you press the little reset button while moving is that you put extra pressure on the little wheel which spins on the little shaft and eventually the little shaft turns but the little wheel

To save yourself a lot of grief and frustration you are best to take it to a good mechanic who has the tools to test your machine. The O2 sensor can be tested, as well as fuel pressure and just about everything else. This saves you time and money in the long run. Just recently on the Ozbenz
