I hadn’t gone through all of the pictures when I wrote this - even worse, with
the dings on the trunk lid and my indicator for how well a car is cared for -
the headlight wipers are wonky.
I’ve always felt that if someone took good care of a car like this, the
headlight wipers would not be all

Floyd has some insight into the pneumatic suspension, but I don’t think it’s
problematic based on what I’ve heard/read. I believe it’s a system similar to
what’s on the W220/211, but not sure as I’ve never owned a car with it. If so,

It’s not so much the ML550, but the W164. It’s a major improvement over the
W163s, far more car-like while still retaining a lot of the truck qualities
that made the W163 useful.
I’m not sure the smaller displacement W164s do much better economy-wise, so
having the ML550 does provide some

Let’s see…..Johnny Italiano bought it for $5000 at the auction and when he went
to drive it home he learned it was in limp mode. He has it priced at $4000, and
told me that he’s prepared to lose his shirt. It for certain needs the
conductor plate, a windshield, and tires soon.

Yes 722.9. The CP in a 722.9 is coded to the car. You can get a good used (or
something) refurb for $400 or pull one at a junkyard (that might not be good)
for not much and then clone it from the old one. That will cost something
unless you “know a guy.” A 722.6 CP is maybe $60 and not coded, n
$3k. It’s a little dirty but generally in good shape although the windshield is
also cracked

A 722.9 conductor plate job looks more involved and more costly than a 722.6
