Check the low pressure switch, not sure where it is on your car but on my old wagon it is lower left (looking from the front) in front of the engine/wheel/next to radiator, sort of. That switch (among others too I guess) controls the clutch on the compressor. Might be a lose (loose)

I may be wrong here, but doesn't the klima relay only control the function of the AC compressor? That is, it has nothing to do with the control of the heater valve, fan speed, etc. The push button unit does this. Your problem is that is going between heating and cooling erratically, right?

Two things to check. First is that there is suction past the interior temp sensor (in the dash, I think). If not, the foam hose under the dash between the plastic pipe and the fan box has fallen apart and you are getting zero air movement past the sensor from the fan, resulting wide
