Nice car!!
Does your family still have that car?
Brooklyn, WI has the best known Adenauer restoration place in the
world, Brooklyn Motoren Werkes - beautiful place, Albrecht Stachel.

No, I think he bought it for under $1k and sold it about a year later for about
$1k. Worse than Snook, it is rare for him to keep a nice car for more than a
couple years. I can just barely remember that car. When I was I high school
and starting to become car-aware, we looked up its book

Under $2 here in the Lowcountry. I was going to hit Costco this evening
but didn't make it. It was in $1.80 last week, might be lower than that
now.

My youngest has a 17 Toshiba with an i7 processor that we bought in 2010 for
close to $1000 at one of the big box office supply stores. With the exception
of adding a high capacity battery a couple of years ago, it's still going
strong.

Benzin was as low as 1.699/gal, with most in the 1.79 to 1.89 range.
Most of the fills were in the $25 range, with a couple around $30.
Way better than $50 to $60 to fill.
Diesel was mostly 2.699

Valero generally thinks different from the rest of the pack. Their
MO is to buy up distressed real estate (refineries and stations) and
then run them cheap. In the ethanol meltdown a few years ago, they
bought up several ethanol refineries. That gives them an edge on E10
Benzin.

They have to be dirt cheap now. Unless you insist on a Mac product...

Filled up yesterday, local Shell station had diesel at $2.69. One local
grocery chain gives 5 cents credit toward fuel for every $50 spent on
groceries, another sells $50 gas cards for $40, one card for every $50
spent. Using both discounts, I had 20 cents off the pump price (price now
$2.49),
Compared to 2 years ago I am sure they are aweoms for the money...

While I'm all for a Mac, for most people they just don't make good fiscal sense
to me. If you want a decent laptop and don't need some sort of high end gaming
rig, $500 will buy a very capable (Windows) laptop.

I have been tracking the lower end laptops for #2 boy. The 15 models can be
had for $250 at Fry's. That gets you a dual core, 4 gig ram, and 500 gig
drive. They run Win 8 out of the box. Those are good enough to run for a few
years and swap out for another. Cutting edge laptops would be
