If you DIY, I recommend some system to track all the different size fasteners you need to remove. I used screwed each one into a piece of cardboard and then labeled each group. Normally I just toss everything into one of those magnetic dishes but I was overwhelmed by so many different screws

The CPS Leak Seeker model LS790b I paid about $250 for found leaks that the cheap methods such as dye didn't. It's paid for itself several times over. Someone on the list suggested that brand. Since it has several sensitivity settings, one must learn how to use it by trial and error.

unless you have replaced the orings since you got the car, I'd suggest getting a kit from Q and replace the orings on the compressor (2) the expansion valve (2) , hoses, and condensor (2). It does not take a real long time, but the expansion valve needs small hands.kids are useful. All
