There is a plug in the center of the distributor that is removed to set the timing. Any dial indicator with a long stem will work so long as you can secure it, but the sleeve that screws in to hold the indicator is very nice Peter ___ For new parts

Your turbo is shot, get it fixed. It's leaking oil into the exhaust side, and it burns off when you accelerate. It will eventually make such a smokescreen you will get ticketed for excessive smoke, but the engine will run fine. Your compression is a normal (lower than new, considerably
