Does anyone have 4 used window cranks for a 240D? I have manual windows and 3
of the 4 are busted up. If I read it right in the parts book there are quite a
few models that will interchange with.

Replaced Torsion in bar in the 1983 240D. It wasn't too bad. Hardest part
was getting the nuts off the back of the Brake Master Cylinder. After that
everything went fairly quickly. I also replaced driver side lower control
bushing, that was a real bear.

spin faster in either car. The starters were intended for older, harder to
start Mercedes diesels. I don't remember the name of the company don't

So far as I know, they pretty much the same. The 300 starter is a bit
more powerful, but I doubt is spins much faster on a 240.

My Benz is a 1980 300CD. The transmission is the type which has no
mechanical linkage for downshift- it is controlled by the modulator,
which runs on vacuum.
Driving back from Santa Fe yesterday, the beast completely lost the

years back. Cost me $21.00 US. Just two relays in one can with a common 12V
I am not sure about Porsche, but on the Mercedes it has a circuit to detect
ignition pluses and turns off fuel pump if engine is not running.
