system? I am trying to troubleshoot an sl with hard operating door locks
and a trans that started shifting harshly. Last week I found a vacuum leak
on the rt side of the engine, and fixing that seemed to make

They are great, have the same issues as other 124's, possible wiring
harness, ac evaporator etc. The 104 engine is great, but they sometimes

notice when I take my foot off the accelerator a low rumbling noise in the
back end when I am coasting down a hill for example. No noise when the
accelerator is on or cruise on. Just had the rear links replaced on rear
Check the differential mount, rear subframe mounts. and the flex disks.
Diffs usually don't make growling noises when they go bad, but a bad
mount or flex disk could be transmitting vibration, or causing
driveline noise.
I would also try it out of gear -- if the noise goes away, it's most
