Durability is one of those things... Those of us on this list are clearly
freaks in that we don't really consider 20 year old cars to be old or worn
out. I'm going to buy a '98 Jetta on Thursday which will actually be the
newest car (not counting the Ranger, thats a truck) I've ever owned. My

The range on electric is still pretty short also IIRC. Don't think it
has improved lately
I never understood the race to go with Hybrids or EVs when diesels
already have the fuel distribution network in place, the repairs
facilities are numerous and qualified and just as importantly,
I think I'll open my old relay to see if I see any obvious problems -
the old one has a single 10a fuse while the new one has 2 - 10A fuses -
not sure why the new one has 2 circuits that need protection? But the
problem was fixed quickly and easily thanks to Peter ;-)
