I think vapor lock doesn't occur on fuel injected engines since the pump is in
the tank and pushes so the lines are always full of liquid fuel. Still you
could be short on fuel pressure. Filters are a good place to start.

I have to get those new fittings tomorrow. For now I put in a piece of
1/2 copper to join the two hoses and bypass the heater core. I started
the thing and it was not running off idle at all, then after maybe 30sec
at idle it would die. I was thinking that maybe some sensor had gone
bad but
W140s have a tee fitting on the firewall that likes to crack or break at
inopportune times and promptly yak the contents of the cooling system on the
ground. If you're moving at highway speeds this happens in a matter of seconds.

I go pick up my wife at the airport this morning, as I am leaving the

coolant. (THis has been an ongoing occasional issue, no clear source of
