So here's the thing. I have this sorta trashed 03E500 sitting here that
has the same engine but a 722.6. I am guessing that swapping in the
722.6 would be all manner of electronic hell given the transmission
control units are part of the whole car electronics system, but that

Yes.
I can probably drive it home (30mph at 5000rpm!), it's not too far away,
or load it on my trailer and drag it home, but I have to unload a load
of compost that is sitting in it (the trailer not the car) now

Trucks are one of those vehicles where when you need one, there isn't a
great substitute. Cheap utility trailers don't take much weight, it's an
extra registration to pay for, and most modern cars have limited (or
zero) towing capacity.

Last Chevy I owned was an early '90s era Blazer (the SUV version of the
S-10). It was a RWD version. Over the years we owned it, it had some
annoying electical gremlins but no major mechanical problems.
Last Ford I owned was an F150 crew cab it was about a 2001 model. Also a
RWD model. Zero issues

any pressing indication for one. Figure out what the main use case is. If
you need 4wd, or to plow snow, or tow a boat, then maybe. But an SUV or van
is far more practical for most people. There are so many cool little vans
Alternately in early-mid summer that money will be all gone and people will
have loans they can't afford. Barely used vehicles get traded back in and
resold at a discount. Could be really good for the used vehicle market.

Holy crap used Toyota Tacoma‘s are expensive. The soon to be son-in-law has
