I had two former mechanics retire who were donating lifts. Just had to
uninstall them and transport and reinstall in my garage. I looked into it and
it wasn’t worth it for me mostly because I didn’t have the equipment and
knowledge to remove, move and re-install.

Ok, I did some more troubleshooting. I charged up the battery and with the
engine running it reads 14.14 V across the terminals. While revving the engine
the voltage across the terminal is still 14.14 V, so that indicates to me and
overcharging condition as 14.1 V without revving the engine is
Ok, so I’m guessing then that the voltage regulator is the culprit considering
the overcharging condition?

I had a heating contractor who specializes in mini splits come today. He feels
that I need 2 20K btu units for the ground floor and one 15K btu unit for the
open loft and with their own compressors so three single zone units. He
estimated $18,000-20,000. Seems pricey.

I try very hard to avoid Chinese made products so when I bought my tig welder a
few months ago I went with a used Miller.
If you want a cheaper chinky chow welder then maybe Everlast is your best bet.
They have made a name for themselves and seem to be well regarded.

got rid of that way.
