Speaking of glow plugs, her 1985 300CD now stalls out upon initial ignition. Fuel filers are clean and changed regularly, but the glowplugs are original since 1998 and 30K miles. Do they need to be checked/replaced? Or should I first run a can of diesel purge through the system? On 5/2/06, Jim

The seat back locking vacuum on both front seats has not been working for "months", she told me today (1985 300CD). Does anyone know if each seat operates independent of the other, or whether a leak in one side affects the other as well? I checked under the hood and all vacuum lines are intact.
