Hmm. Beetles I had: 1966 sedan 1968 convertible 1971 convertible 1959 barn door van 1971 Fastback At least those are the ones I recall. There may have been others. Rebuilt a few engines, did a fair amount of floor pan and rocker replacements. The 1959 barn door van was my all time favorite.

We had a 70 Beetle, dropped #3 exhaust valve and we had a family friend rebuild it. Rusted away, but we all drove the stuffings out of it. Great car for what it was. The trick to them is that they NEED valve adjustments, particularly on #3 cylinder because the oil cooler is on that side and
