The old MB diesels got excellent milage at the expense of, well, leisurely, performance -- meaning DON'T pull out in front of a heavy truck. In todays market, that won't sell cars. Newer cars should be getting much better milage. We had an old Nissan Sentra for a work car for a while

Did you look under the floor mats? Also, check for rust down in the pockets next to the hood hinges; and if you have the opportunity, take off the covers over the boxes to the rear of and under the front fenders and check for rust. Those cars can have a lot of hidden rust. '66 200Ds had

Rust can be a problem. The area behind the front wheels behind the fender liner panel is a place where dirt and gravel accumulate and cause rust. In the rocker panels and the back end of the rocker panel ahead of the rear wheels are other areas subject to rust. The trunk wells on each

Besides Marshall anyone have any experience with the 110 chassis and the 200D. I looked at one today, very little rust at all, owner who is the 3rd has done alot of work. Car has 100,000 miles all gauges work, original radio works. Needs some door seals, an rear window seals. interior in
