What about these tools? Do different ones fit different
cars? Where can they be had? I can't recall
to turn, but it works all the same and cuts down on the
bulk.

No wind wings at the front of the front door windows? Hmmm.

Simple.

Most cars have an exposed link that can be hooked by that tool. Not
Benz, so make sure you have your keys with you
You will never see those for sale -- it's illegal to sell them to
anyone but a law enforcement agency, I think. Usually considered
evidence of illegal activity, like
I once locked my keys in my 1980 Citation during finals week. A campus cop
unlocked it with a slim jim (flat stainless strip with notches at the end) in
about five seconds. A couple of years later I did it again, at home this time.
Went to Carquest and bought the tool I'd seen the cop use,
I have seen the tools for sale on the internet. I don't believe they
are illegal in most states. Around here, every tow truck driver has a set.

Got to careful, snagging the wires for windows or lock will ruin your day.
Cops here make you sign a waver before they do it. Ford Pick-up are very

Being in possesion of burglary tools while caught in the act is
evidence of criminal intent. Crowbars, glass cutters, lock picks,
and so forth are quite legal and legitimate tools, but have a strong
tendency to demonstrate intent to break and enter is in the
possession of someone caught

FWIW, I just saw this listed on Coudal:

I managed to lock my keys in a 115 once - after getting the cameras
out of the back seat to shoot a wedding. It took me at least 45
minutes with a coat hanger to get the door open, with some sacrifice
of the weatherstrip around the door.

Hope it didn't rain while you were doing that, with the top down your
