should work for a garden. I used a tiller the first year to break up
the sod. Notill ever since. getting close to 20 years now.
Research no till garden beds. Saves a ton of work.

I just took down a HUGE willow and a very big sugar maple. Bought a used
MacKissic Merry Mac 6hp chipper shredder for $200. Sharpened chipper
blade. Has been doing a good(and easy) job of turning all of the brush
under 1 into mulch. The rest is firewood from the maple.

I have a snears/mtd. parts are available through snears, but not cheap.
Mine has a hopper that lays down so you can sweep leaves into it.
THat is good if you really plan to chop up leaves.
I have had to repair the hopper because of the vibration. I bought a
wire/flux core welder for that.
