The M1/M2 stuff is very intriguing, but I simply cannot switch to them at this time, for two reasons: 1) My job is supporting the theme park, and all computers there are Intel, running either Windows 10 or Ubuntu linux. I use VMware on my Mac to do this, and that's simply not possible on M1/M2

I bought a 27” deal on Amazon that was cheap, had a good refresh rate, and also included both a hdmi and a usb c cable, I also has to buy a DP cable as the card in the computer only had DP or DVI. I figured perhaps I can hook my laptop to the hdmi port when I might need 2 screens for work.

You just need a VGA to DVI adapter. They're cheap. Your monitor might have DVI too. Most made in the last 10 years do, it's been out for 20 years or more. The other thing there is display port, an HDMI derivative. They make a display port to HDMI cable. Curt Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android
