My 87 SDL is quick, comparable to most pieces of new crap out on the road
today. Must have been something wrong with it. So long to the SDL though, as

clogged tube going from the intake manifold to the ALDA on the fuel
injection pump, and shonuff A little reaming and cleaning and all
was copacetic again. It signals turbo boost for fuel enrichment.

I did a little checking in the technical data books -- unfortunately,
there are no acceleration nor fuel consumption numbers for the SDL.
'87 300SDL 126.125 max speed 119 mph. (2 persons).
'87 300D 124.133 0-62mph 10.9 sec. (2 persons), top speed 125 mph.,
city - 28.4 mpg, @ 55mph - 42.5 mpg,
Fix the turbo and boost control system, you have a NA slug there!
No, they are NOT sluggish!
