[MBZ] Oil filler cap leak?

I have now made a couple speed runs from Memphis to Biloxi, MS running 85-90 on the interstate. I noticed a little bit of oil around the filler cap and pooled up a tiny bit by the valve cover gasket. It is only on the right side (looking at the engine). It looks like it ran down from the oil

yeah on the Benzes the tube goes all the way to the bottom of the pan, so it will suck out everything.  I have a 3/8" (?? I think) plastic tube that fits in tightly, and the other end goes to a barb fitting on a refrigerant tank, I drilled a hole in it that a small vac hose fits into.  Heat up

I've never had an oil related failure on a large engine (once on a lawnmower maybe) so I don't worry about it too much. The farm tractors get changed once every 2 years but we're talking less than 100 hours of run time, synthetic 5w40 in the '98 Ford and 15w40 diesel oil in the 1952 Farmall.

I'm planning on a trip to stock up on canned goods. We've been eating hominy and artichokes lately. I cooked some into a chicken pot pie last week that was pretty good. Those are both somewhat specialty and go out of stock on the regular. Green beans and niblets are on our regular rotation.
