the shop for several weeks now.
Mine had the evaporator done at the dealer, cost 4k, entire interior
just about has to come out. Mine was covered under warranty. If I
bought a used one I would first try that expensive sealer stuff, if that

There is no upper pan gasket, just a small (1/16) bead of RTV sealant.
If it doesn't leak, leave it alone unless you need to take the pan off

yes, check the oil and see if there is some obstruction in the filter.
The e300d does the oil lamp dance after a change and I chase it for a
bit, then the light decides to not do that anymore. All the while the
oil is new, level mid stick or less cold, no visible leaks, no loss in
1k miles.

change your fuses. Must have something there. I do that ritual for
the ED, just to make the wife look at me strange. Her car, so what can
it hurt?

front calipers are Lucas and are easier to service than any of the calipers

think before they write about failures.
Damn near every Bosch 5.1 ABS system with the integrated electronics is a piece
of crap. From 98 to 03
when Bosch integrated ASR with the ABS systems the circuit boards were so small
MB won't endorse the stuff. Thus, I won't touch it.
Is there a MB list of MB endorsed / spproved fluids besides stuff from MB?
