I finally, this week got the ’68 250S up and running pretty decently a few
weeks ago, and spent the rest of time slowly replacing brake parts. Now that
she’ll start easily, idle well (mostly), and stop without using the
e-brake….it’s time to think tars.

as a separate part. You could try calling ZF/Sachs in case they would have a

if you have the time and patience and skill, you can probably
rebuild/rebrush the alternator yourself. i mean, there is obviously a
source of brushes as there are places that rebuild alternators all day
long. it's just not likely going to be as easy as taking off a voltage
regulator and going
