Switches were fully functional prior to putting the fresh motor in. Then none of the switches would function. I cleaned them, and even my spares, just for good measure. Now only the driver side rear responds to switch from the console, while the rear switches do provide window action. Re: [MBZ] windows no goze
Remove door skin. See that both motor terminals have +12V on them normally, measured to the door frame metal. Use a test lamp, that puts a load on it to make sure it's actually got current ability and not just leakage. One or the other terminal is grounded to make the motor go, depending on direction. If you don't have +12V, you have a problem. 99% of the time it's dirty switches. -- Jim ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

[MBZ] windows no goze
A few weeks ago I put a new motor in the front passenger regulator. Prior to this, all the other windows worked fine with the front controls. The rear windows respond to the door switches, but not console buttons, except for the driver rear. The front windows no longer go down or up, and rear pass window does not respond to front buttons. I checked the fuses and replaced, though they look fine. Copper/brass fuses, not the aluminum.
