So why not link soundsourcem4a always to Mixxx and try to load libfaad at runtime? We could do this, but it's a huge boilerplate PITA to load all the symbols at runtime. It's probably nice in the long run, though. Probably worth a bug, this is something I can see myself doing on a particularly
