Jeff,
The new paper would be the first tell-tale that the lobby cards were
repros. The heavier card stock paper which lobby cards have always been
printed on tends to age to yellowish/brownish cream color rather quickly
-- and the paper generally had a slightly rougher surface that most of

Hello,
I have posted almost 200 Yugo posters on eBay auctions and ending of those
auctions is tomorrow. There are posters related with James Bond, Superman (all
3 parts), Alain Delon, Steve McQuin, JP Belmondo, Truffaut, John Travolta
(Grease, Saturday Night Fever,...), Paul Newman Robert
There are 418 lots in this week's Heritage Internet Auction. Once again, we are
featuring a great selection of original movie posters, lobby cards and stills.

Oh, wow... and we thought the double-talk about a clearly faded poster
being described as may be faded was disingenuous. This article is
bizarre, in it the President of Heritage admits that they have been
using a shill (s?) to bid on their auctions, but is actually quoted as
claiming that it
This is actually in the fine print in their auction catalogue. Most
auction catalogues also indicate to the auction houses' representations
and warranties in connection with the originality of the pieces they
auction as well as their liabilities in connection with fraud. More

Sorry to double post, but I had to read the article over a couple of
more times just to cut through all the double-talk (and all the useless
testimonials posted as comments at the end of the article). When I had
done that I just had to post my own comment on the article:

I didn't say it was Okay. In fact I expressed indignation on this
board a long time ago when Grey revealed this tidbit of information
several months ago. But if it is disclosed upfront in its catalogue, it
certainly gives Heritage some legal cover. FRANC

What repercussions will this have (if any)?
Using shills (whether disclosed or not) doesn't look good seems
sneaky, whether that info is disclosed in the fine print, or not.
again.. it will remain to be seen, since papers have ben filed.
will it go forward? be settled? or thrown out?
Hey Guys;
Thought it was interesting that I actually got a call from an eBay
representative the other day, to remind me of their new mandatory policies of
Sellers to post their Handling Times and Return Policies. Actually, I don't
have a problem with this, because as a buyer, I like to

My favorite line is it only wins between one and two percent of the
auctions it bids on.
I wonder how someone could be such an incredible guesser that they only
win between one out of 50 to one out of 100 times they bid. One would almost
think they might possibly know what the person they were

Many auction houses (and I remind everyone that auction laws differ country to
country) and private auctioneers reserve the right to have the house bid on the
item, or allow the seller to bid on the item. That is, disclosed shill bidding.
If the potential buyer is aware that these are the rules
