so you're stuck there. I've been selling on eBay for several years, and
still do the bulk of my business there. I never checked a buyer's feedback
before completing a sale. Why would I waste my time? The
Mr. Hershenson feels a need to complain about awful rule changes. WTF
does he care? Why is it his business? ... I've had someone relatively
well-known in the poster community with whom I've never even done any
business and whom I hardly know decide to go on a personal campaign against
me.
I would never refer to Mr Hershenson as relatively well-known in the poster
community. He is the standard for known, I'd think. Relatively aint
in it.
I don't see why anyone would have thought I was referring to him, but let me

In my own words, I simply noticed that because I received those ten negs
near the end of my eBay career, my feedback will soon look simply dreadful
(10 negs vs 300 positives).
That got my blood boiling over what that jerk did to me, so I posted about a
year old event.
As to what
When eBay changed the rules and made it that sellers couldn't leave
feedback, I predicted that some number of buyers would take advantage of
this and blackmail sellers into free items or discounts, using the thread
of negatives as a club.
That was one of the reasons I decided to leave forever,
I totally agree and wonder what the hell they are trying to do.
I wish I could leave eBay, but I don't know how or where to sell the wide
variety of items I sell for higher $. My last 5 sales have been a 2001 A Space
Od. 6 sheet for $1600, Stella guitar for 800, a train for 300, 7 45
