I’m another keen proponent of recycling where practical. It cuts down on
waste and keeps postage costs lower. Overall, I make a slight loss on
postage once PayPal fees are taken into account, so if it can be done without
compromising the strength and quality of packaging then why not?
I am happy to be grouped along with Bruce as a
conscientious packager. Bruce definitely makes
better packages than I do, which means he
overdoes it because I make great packages
Of course it is something borne of common sense
(hey this tube is kinda flimsy)
and the need to prevent damage
ever feel insulted when your flat poster or lobby card arrives in dirty,
food-stained or grease-stained, old, bent cardboard?
especially with sellers charging high shipping costs...
i just saw this of a (non-poster) listing:
All items are packaged in recycled materials where

My worst eBay purchase package ever had old (maybe used) diapers for packing
material!

I very much support the notion of using recycled materials whenever
possible. I see no harm whatever in saving money on package materials
as long as the item is shipped safe and secure.
Furthermore I don't see no problem whatever in minimizing the use of
unnecessary materials and being

i'd SERIOUSLY like to know who is mailing out posters in FOOD or
GREASE stained cardboard--or better yet.. who has received a poster
or lobby card with pizza remnants dangling from a corner, or a
window card that is seeped with the grease from that pepperoni pie?
this post takes the cake
few years ago I had small deal with a Lady from Australia. She wanted one of my
posters and offered another one, Polish poster, as trade. It was good for me,

Everyone seems to be so reactionary these days... is it just the hot
summer weather, the recession or what? Sure, every once in a while you
run across someone who is making an unacceptable profit on the
handling side of the shipping and handling charge, or packaging
really badly, but it is
We never recycle in the conventional sense, but we pre-recycle. We use
such great packing materials that those who receive them are able to re-send
them to others. I would bet that people like Rich Halegua and Marty Davis
(who order from us regularly) are able to mostly only re-use our packaging,
I only reuse some of your boxes
I never ship with those double thick boards you use
they cost so much for me to buy, that I keep them for in-house use
I have a whole pile of them!!!

We recycle if the packaging is good enough.
All cardboard received we re use. We even re use a lot of the cushioning
material. No cheetos though.
If a tube we receive is strong enough (if we can stand on it without it
buckling), we will re use it.
We actually like to use tubes
Not having a go here but why is the whole world obsessed with recycling?
Surely the carbon footprint on say a Hummer is a million times worse than
buying new poster tubes?

Bruce,
I love your pre-recycle materials so much, I
throw out the lobby cards I buy
from you and just frame the cardboards.
