Lunchtime today we had a Carolina Wren at a suet feeder. With bright
colors and repeated flapping to stay in place on the birch-log feeder,
it looked healthy. We got a good for several minutes until a Downy

facebook page on April 24th. I finally got to chase it today and got a decent

At 11:00 today (11/25) I observed a Carolina Wren at the Old Frontenac
Cemetery. It was foraging in the brush piles at the loop at the end of the

I count four records before yours: 1957, 2006. 2007, 2012, assuming that
all three reports in 2012 were the same bird. All occurred in the winter.
A "0" on the Christmas Bird Count means that the bird was found just before
or after the count, but not on count day.

Today on my deck on Melody Lake, Edina, 5:45 PM. A (should I say probable
as I do not have a photo?) Carolina Wren seen clearly at the tube feeder
with golden safflower, kicking out seeds. I got a good view of the ruddy
back and it turned its head as I got the binocs on it so I had a great view

At about 11AM Sunday I spotted a Carolina Wren in the east end of Lake City.
It was across the road from 1800 Camp Lakeview Drive, feeding in a small plowed
area around some electrical boxes. I suspect the bird is coming to the feeders
at 1800 Camp Lakeview Drive, but there was a dog in the ya

We just had a Carolina Wren visit our suet feeder. It was there long enough
for us to get the binocs on it before it flew off. I've been watching for an
hour or so with the hope that it might return, but so far no luck.

can be hit-or-miss. A group of us from Stevens Point, WI heard an
individual singing and calling multiple times in Brownsville this morning.
Some of us did end up getting a fleeting view of the wren. It was in the

Co. It sang loudly at the southeast corner of the Green Heron Trail near a
pond to the southeast of the trail. To get there, walk along the trail past
where the now closed Bog Trail intersects. Keep walking maybe
Carolina Wren at Hyland Lake Park Reserve in Bloomington (6 a.m.
