Strib referenced some extra-circular arguments after yesterday's RT-SSB
debate. Some election-day flap involving alleged insults from a Rybak
worker heard by the SSB camp...apologies were made, but readers were
left wondering how
I need to correct the record about one pre-primary matter...
I mistakenly credited Lisa McDonald's campaign map to Ken Avidor. The
creator was his wife, Roberta. Sorry, Roberta! Ken did the graphics and
the SuperLisa comic for Lisa's web site.

For those who may be interested, the public hearing is still on for the
development of the peninsula at Twin Lake, adjacent to the 'back 40' of
Wirth Park. The hearing is scheduled for 8-pm this Wednesday at the Golden
Valley City Hall. As I understand it, the vote could go either way.

One of the problems with instant communication is that sometimes people say
things that they otherwise wouldn't. I think we can see some evidence of
that problem. Brandon's post regarding Denny Schapiro's query on the DFL
Sample Ballot was over the line. I know Brandon very well, and
Matthea Smith and Dennis Schapiro raised the question of whether
Minneapolis has a DFL machine, with Dennis citing its ability to
distribute a quarter million sample ballots.
The ability to pass out hundreds of thousands of sample ballots is
almost inconsequential for political machines.
