Subject: [mssms] RE: MDT boot image in ConfigMgr - modify ExtraFiles
Anyone ever done this before? I would love to use the ExtraFiles option our MDT
boot images, but if we can only modify it during creation of the boot image,
that won't help us for on-going changes.

It wouldn't be hard to do a foreach with PowerShell and the WMI or CIM cmdlets.
It might take a while to run though.
Maybe something like...
Get-CimClass * | ForEach-Object {Get-WmiObject -Class $_.CimClassName}
Just need to add a where-object for the value you want.

Not being able to modify the default configmgr client package is ‘intended’ to
prevent accidental deletion or messing up ‘Client Push’.

We have a case open with Microsoft for this exact issue.
Having separate boot disks for all of our primaries is not an option. I think
we may end up just making all our MPs HTTPS.

Ours is expected behavior too, except for one piece. Once it tries to hit the
DMZ MPs and failed, it should rollover to the HTTP MPs internally, but it’s not.

I don’t manage that side of the house, just use it on my phone. The mobile app
is alright, they are very flaky with Android supported models. For the longest
time they didn’t even support Android 4.3.

What does the inventory log on the machine show? Any issues querying

Ccmexec could be doing a lot of different things, will need to dig into the
logs to confirm.
If you suspect inventory, check out InventoryAgent.log.
