I got this message from Microsoft support today in this matter
we have identified root cause and Sustained Engineering is going to start
working on a hotfix. Basically the block size for how often the Task Sequence
Progress bar updated was changed and it was updating much more frequently,
Thanks Daniel,

Jason,
Good hypothesis. Are VMware guests, with a vmxnet3 adapter affected?

All are effected.
Note: e1000e generates a lot of bad header checksum during SMB traffic
And I have seen hash errors before with e1000 in Server 2012 so my suggestion
is in general to use VMXNET3

Old info. See the fork of this thread: it's an actual issue with the TS engine
and is being actively worked by the sustained engineering team.

Trying to find same official statement for our management. We are on SP1

I am setting up our new SCCM 2012 R2 environment and we are planning to have a
site server (MP, DP SUP) in our DMZ for Internet-based clients. We are
looking to have a single DNS entry for clients that come onto the network and
connect from home. Can I use a single cert with that DNS alias
Yes

You could use RegKeytoMof and add it to your hinv.

We've had reports of this nasty little thing, so I need to be thinking about
this too.

We had someone on our team find this. If you keep the client at the CU3
version the process works fine. In other words, revert to your old client
package and you'll return to normal success. Granted you'll need to upgrade
them later on, at least imaging will move forward.

We cannot seem to get this to work. When ran manually the script works without
issue.
Simple commands like shutdown work just fine, and there is one example of a
powershell script on google, but we cannot get the syntax to work.

This may add a sprinkle of value to this thread, or not. I've had an MVP
*recommend* that you apply CU3 before upgrading to R2 at our user group
meeting. I cannot recall the specifics.

I've just been reading the info on Upgrade Sequencing for System Center 2012 R2
( http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn521010.aspx )
It does mention some baseline CU levels for each component part.
We recommend that you update all of the System Center 2012 SP1 components with
the most
That's true. However, the article suggests that to Upgrade to R2, and you have
two or more components of System Center 2012, the upgrade order is, as they
say, 'extremely important'.
