Cool project! I have been fascinated by Lissajous curves ever since I
know of their existence. You can create very interesting shapes with
them and they are easily produced on a computer screen. It's a bit odd
to draw straight lines with a combination of sines and cosines, but
the result is

Absolutely wonderful!
Is the lisajours system based on the analogue one published in the
60-70s book Electronic Circuits Manual by John Markus or is it your
own software/hardware design? (it doesn't look like the analogue
design is stuffed inside the case)
I'd love to build your clock - please
During my studies in the mid 80's we made a similar clock in a course
about VLIW processors (Very Large Instruction Word) where we also used
lisajours to display the numbers on an oscilloscope screen.
Did you do that in the same way? I mean, divide a digit (or symbol)
into separate segments
Michel,
Nick is correct it has been around for quite some time. I found out
about it since I had an interrest in the large vector screens, like
the Tektronix 4010 vector screen, and a few other screens made by
computer companies which were hooked up to our large computers in the
computer club I

btw, do you know why some of the Z566M tubes has the yellow triangle
with round corners stamped at back? Does it mean something or its just
sign of earlier/later series?

Hi there, does anybody know if there is such a thing as 10TU26 nixies?
One guy just told me that he has 5 of these but i cant find any info
about it anywhere. They should be equivalent to Z5600M , not sure
though.

Thanks for the fast reply! Do you have any indication about how much
should i pay for them? Also i found this datasheet, the tube is there
just briefly mentioned. I figured out you might be interested since i
didnt find it on your site.

btw, it sounds really interesting because the guy said that they have

The triangle is a very very important sign for Nixie tube collectors.
in short:
No trinangle: pilot lot (rare tube)
1 in triangle: quality category 1 (best quality)
2 in triangle: quality category 2 (low quality)
= in triangle: bad tolerances (only for no-name products ect.)
S in triangle:

Yea, they have two sets of triples, you can see it in the photo.

IMO even the original meaning of the word would have included that the
'invention' should be something which is not obvious to other people
skilled in the same field. For example, going back 2000 years, I could
have found out a road that leads to Rome and claim this as my
invention. However, there
I would have to agree with you Michel, just quoting the Latin word's
literal meaning (in this case I found out(?)) does not convey the
nuances or why/when/how that word was used and it what context. I'm
sure we ALL could give examples of Latin words and their literal
meaning but without context
I was on of the lucky ones who acquired a Scope Clock. I have several

attention most often is the scope clock. David did a wonderful job with the

The purple, pinkish or peachy haze comes from the different additional gases
and the mercury inside the tube.
You may find out from the spectrum (in some cases) what mixture is in the
tube.
Second, the lower the Ucc (cold cathode voltage) the higher the haze. And
the more blurred the glow.

Very nice David! Any thoughts on kits in the future? :) That SC200 scope clock
