My understanding of testing and coming at this with limited NetCAT experience... Testing occurs at different levels from (1) low level (unit test - do unit of functional work as expected), to (2) "middle level" (integration testing - all the components working together), to (3) regression testing

I suppose at the time prior to releases, the assorted focus area could perform a sub-set of their tests area where applicable and provide any feedback prior to the release. Maybe the testing could also be influenced by what changed in the given release. I still thing running the whole thing
