I paid for a years subscription to mdvonline, back in July this year. With the
release of 2007, It now wont connect, or do something! It tells me that it
has successfully uploaded my settings etc, but when it goes to check updates,
tells me

Ya, like they say '99% of problems on Linux are problems with permissions'.
That always bites me on the ass.

install Mandriva 2007 as a new clean install.
I have been using Mandy OS for over 6 years. I have been using it with
fetchmail. The combination combination has worked well until 2007.
When fetchmail is invoked I get an error:

Another one here..
I have noticed also that, in addition to my previously posted problem
regarding the Summary View issue, that when I delete a message, I receive an
error stating that message delete failed in the message bar at the bottom
of the window. Any clues?

Tell you what. When your software (M2007) installs on my pc's without blowing
up, then I'll consider it. Pretty cheeky of you asking me to help you when
all my emails to you about your software goes unanswered.
(Sheesh)

They probably won't get it, but I sure feel better...

Hi all,
I'm trying to creat a default slocate database, using the updatedb
command.
In previous versions, I usually just typed in updatedb
When I fire up gftp, I get this in the console:
Cannot look up hostname %u: Name or service not known
I can just press 'Stop' and connect to an ftp, but what's that error? Is it
trying to connect to some service on the local machine?
Thanks!
