[newbie] .mdf files...

Hi All, I'm in the process of downloading a DVD image, that is in .mdf format. any clues as to what I can use to either convert it to .iso or is there something that will handle the burning in it's current format? I have never encountered one of these before, and I'm curious! Cheers, James
