Don't try to bend the shifter back in place. The metal has been compromised, so you need a new one (pretty cheap). You don't want the fatiqued metal to snap during a ride. I'm an instructor, and we preach countersteering. Practice in a big empty parking lot, then when it feels comfortable,

I attached a small pelican case to the rear fender license plate spot (took off the bracket) that holds a net, some chain lube and other small items (keep it locked). License plate went on the lid (and it folds down) with a couple really small LED lights for it. A hidden key would be perfect
