I do not know if something broke in a newer version of context, but for
that I will first need to figure out why my minimals are not being updated.
Since I was at it, I redid the local change in t-bib so that I can have
citations of different colors. Also changed a few other macros, to work
well with colors (I had stopped playing with colors a while back ...). I
am uploading the changed files and the typeset pdf file at
http://pantheon.yale.edu/~am894/temp/
Try to download and compile this and see if it works. In the mean time I
will investigate why minimals aren't being updated on my machine.

Context minimals are fine. I did not notice before that context-beta was
last updated on 2008.11.10. That is almost a month!!! I updated to the
latest alpha and there is a bug. If I comment \placeabbreviations in
frontmatter.tex, then the entire document compiles fine.

The current bib module does not support changing the color of links. The
color=darkgreen was a local change that I did in my copy of t-bib. So,
color=darkgreen should just be silently ignored. However, compress=no
does affect the output of the \cite command but I do not understand why

Hard, ... ).
Can you try to create a minimal example just using the bib module
specific setups?

Yes it is interesting doing it this way, the latex people do it the other way around: they run a mixed R/LaTeX file through an R function that puts evaluated R code instead, run this file through LaTex and voila. But if there is no requirement for elegance I am sure there are ways to do it this way as well, some trickery with comments perhaps or searching for the next input. Rather a lot of work to get either of them going though ... [NTG-context] report: non-stretchable spaces after periods
In a message some time ago, Wolfgang suggested that
\def\ {\thinspace}
would serve to get non-expanding or non-stretchable spaces after
periods that occur within sentences and in bibliographies. When I
discovered that, while this worked well in limited contexts, in a
lengthy bibliography which relied on the period as the main form of
punctuation it lead quickly to numerous line-breaking problems. So
Wolfgang has now has kindly proposed
\def\ {\hskip.1666em\relax}
since \hskip is a TeX primitve and mentioned in every (plain) TeX
manual.
And I gratefully confirm that this works very well.

Hi all, Using the bib module, I want my references to be sorted alphabetically; if I understood correctly the doc: \setuppublications[alternative=apa-fr,sorttype=bbl,criterium=cite] Then the alphabetical order is taken from the bibtex *keys*, and it doesn't always follows true alphabetical order... :-( And it seems that with bbl the whole bbl content is necessarily written in references. How can I do to have only cited material included in references? [NTG-context] question about rulethickness
Hi all, It looks like rulethickness can only be applied to all 4 sides of a cell all at once, or is there a way to specify the thickness of left|right|top|bottom? [NTG-context] modernized and augmented m-r.tex
The ConTeXt module for interaction with the statistical programming language R currently does not work with MKIV since buffers are not saved to file. The included file fixes this by calling \savebuffer on the buffer in case \ctxlua is defined (a trick gleaned from a discussion on the LilyPond module a while back). Also, all calls to R used to include a rather annoying proc.time() statement at the end, and a modified R call has fixed this. PATH must contain R or R.exe on Windoze. Should 'texmfstart' still be used for the R calls? A third modification involves being able to call \startRnoecho (which only echoes R output in the ConTeXt file) in addition to \startR (which echoes both input and output) and \startRhidden (which echoes nothing, useful for generating graphics) One further improvement would be to collect the R snippets and run them all at once. That would significantly reduce processing time since the R startup is on the order of a few seconds. However, that is beyond my knowledge of ConTeXt. There are some places where \par is prohibited by TeX's parser but in such cases \endgraf is still allowed. The prohibition helps to catch runaway definitions (because an empty line is equal to a \par commnad). I added those, but it had no effect.
I also tried replacing \vskip with \blank and that had no effect either (I
didn't think it would).
Other thoughts?
Is there a way to tell ConTeXt to treat the author's signature (the dangling
line) as part of the previous paragraph?

I've met a weird thing, I can't get \totalnumberofpages in the preamble.
But it used to work.
A simple test file is

\def\test{\getvalue{test::\pagenumber}}

\page[yes]
This should be \quotation{:\pagenumber:}, but it's \quotation{\test}

Any suggestions about how to do that? I wanna define each page a macro.
