Creator: ConTeXt - 2010.11.27 14:27

I also have a PDF from the same source created end of December with
the following versions, that features the bug:

ConTEXt version 2010.12.21 10 :50 on LuaTeX version 0.65.0.

Could it be a LuaTeX 0.65 regression?

Well, luatex 0.65.0 had this bugfix:

* With OpenType math fonts, accents over any class except 0 and 7
   were misplaced.

And that could be related.

Works fine here for true OpenType math fonts, so I think it might be
something ConTeXt.

\setupbodyfont[xits]
%\setupbodyfont[cambria]
%\setupbodyfont[asana] % no accents!
\starttext
hello $\hat x \hat A$.
\stoptext

It's related to \Umathradicalrule* not being set. This has never been
the case but at some point it worked ok and Taco/I are not going think
too long about when and where something changed along the route. I'll
make a new beta.

This wouldn't be a problem, greek letters are not included.

[NTG-context] Bad interaction between new interpretation of underscore and modules

2011-01-13 Thread Mathieu Boespflug
Hi all,

today's beta introduced a really strange problem. Consider two source files:

definitions.tex:
\startmodule[definitions]
\def\lambdax{\lambda_x}
\stopmodule[definitions]

main.tex:
\usemodule[definitions]
\starttext
blah $\lambdax$ blah.
\stoptext

This results in the following compile error:

! Undefined control sequence.
\lambdax -\lambda_x

l.5 blah $\lambdax
  $ blah.
?

However, if you change \usemodule[definitions] into \input
definitions instead, then there is no compile error! My understanding
is that the underscore is a valid character for macro names now
outside of math mode, which is what is causing the problem. But I
really don't understand what magic is going on in the modules code to
trigger this.

I would be very interested in an explanation of what is going on.

Many thanks,

Mathieu

Hallo Wolfgang,

thank you for your reply. It looks already promising, however I get the
following error and I do not know how to fix:

Running context --ctx=s-mod t-pocketdiary.tex

! String contains an invalid utf-8 sequence.

When looking at s-mod-00.mkiv it appears that the \startdefinition macro is
only available in mode [nocode]
Commenting the \startmode[nocode] and \stopmode does not solve the problem:

Runaway argument?
\setvari[PocketDiaryColo\ETC.
! File ended while scanning use of \dododowithbuffer.
inserted text

\inputgivenfile #1-\normalinput {#1}

\doreadfileyes ...x \inputgivenfile \readfilename
  \relax \the \everyafterrea...
l.2 \readfile{t-pocketdiary.tex.prep}{}{}

Looking at the *.tex.prep file it does not appear that there is something wrong
with it. I am also a bit surprised about the error message in the line after
the Runaway argument?. The command is crippled: it should be \setvariables

Puzzled, kind regards

No, \startdefintion is also available when the “nocode” mode is disabled

Can you provide the file or check line 113 of your file, as the message tells

You need \normalsubscript in your module. You define a command and
in this case it doesn’t matter that you plan to use it in math mode,
the _ is now a normal letter like “a” and this won’t change when you
call \lambdax in your document.

Write

  \def\lambdax{\lambda\normalsubscript x}

Re: [NTG-context] Bad interaction between new interpretation of underscore and modules

 Untested:

 \def\lambdax{\math{\lambda_x}}

 should also work.

Not, this won’t work in a module because _ has catcode 11 when you define
the \lambdax command and it doesn’t matter whether you use \math, $ or
\Ustartmath. What happens is that TeX tries to expand the not existent
command “\lambda_x”.

[NTG-context] TABLE in a flow chart

2011-01-13 Thread Aditya Mahajan

Hi,

I want to include a TABLE in a flow chart, but the table is shifted by an
offset. Any ideas on how to get rid of the offset

\usemodule[chart]

\setupFLOWcharts[nx=1,ny=1,width=3cm,height=2cm]

\setupTABLE[each][each][height=1cm]

\startFLOWchart[test]
  \startFLOWcell
\name{test}
\location{1,1}
\shape{action}
\text
  {\bTABLE
\bTR
  \bTD[width=3cm] One \eTD
\eTR
\bTR
  \bTD Two \eTD
\eTR
  \eTABLE}
  \stopFLOWcell
\stopFLOWchart

\starttext

\startTEXpage
  \FLOWchart[test]
\stopTEXpage

\stoptext

Thanks,
Aditya

 Hi friends,

 I am a bit confused with the use of citation/bibliographies in MkIV.
 Maybe someone can help me?

 Say, I have a bib-file containing entries like ...

 @BOOK{mb:Wassermann1990,
 title = {Alternativkommentar zum Strafgesetzbuch},
 year = {1990 (Bd. 1), 1986 (Bd. 3)},
 editor = {Wassermann, Rudolph},
 % address = {Neuwied},
 howcited = {\emph{Bearbeiter}, in: Wassermann, AK-StGB},
 juratitle = {AK-StGB},
 owner = {mascha},
 timestamp = {2006.10.02}
 }

 In the typeset document I need an entry like this:
 \emph{Amelung} in Wassermann, Alternativkommentar zum Strafgesetzbuch,
 §\,94, Rn. 4.

 In a Latex document I saw the usage like this:
 \cite[Amelung][§\,94, Rn. 4]{mb:Wassermann1990}

 Who do I do it in ConTeXt MkIV??

 \cite[extras={, §\,94, Rn. 4}][mb:Wassermann1998]

 (or \cite[mb:Was...][extras={...}], I do not remember the order)

 I though it should be the first one, too.
 But the citation doesn't work (see example attached).
