@Hans: in the latest beta, the "textdistance" parameter for inline
itemize does not work anymore. But it's not a showstopper for me as

Thanks to both of you, Wolfgang and Aditya, for the explanantions.
After applying the patch Wolfgang sent to Aditya, the error message is gone.
I guess the patch will be in the next beta.
