Terran,

I was doing something very similar, but instead of JUST the last circ, I was
getting all kinds of results. But I will try it again. Maybe I was
selecting the wrong source to start with.

Thanks!

Hi Jennifer,

I would built that report like this:

Source: Classic Item List

Filters:
Status > id (Operater = In List)
Owning Library > id (Operator = In List)
Deleted (Operator = Equals, Filter Value = f)

Display Fields:
Circ Modifier
Callnumber Label
Title

Is that the ‘active circulation’?? What are ‘linked’ circulations?

2018-07-31 Thread John Amundson
Hi, Jennifer:

In case it is simply the former, I wanted to pass along a mockup of a
template I created that should work for you before I head home for the
day...

You can start from either the Report Source *Item *or *Circulation*, but I
prefer starting from *Circulation; *from there you can get to the Item via
the *Circulating Item *link. Below is a look at a possible setup in the web
client. The XUL client should be very similar. The most important piece is
filtering on "Check In Date/Time *Is NULL*" as this limits checkouts to
only current ones.

The following will get you a list of items that are currently checked out
and the patron who has them out.

Note that this current setup will only output items in copy status Checked
Out as per your request. It can be altered to include checked out items in
other statuses as well, (Lost, Long Overdue, etc) by adding the filter
"Transaction Finish Date/Time *Is NULL*" and removing the filter "Copy
Status... id *equals 1*".

Hi Stuart,

Do you use the Lost and Paid status? If you do, you can filter by both
statuses, and display the copy status in the report. If not, you can
display the balanced owed for the transaction (found under Base Transaction

Let me know if you need any more detail.

Thanks,

Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Reports - Simple Record Extracts

2018-01-02 Thread Josh Stompro
Hello Eva, I worked on a change to the Simple Record Extracts recently which
was included in the 3.0 release, so I panicked when I saw your message, but
then saw that you are not on 3.0. Even though I don’t think I caused the
problem, it is fresh in my mind so here are some suggestions.

The Simple Record Extracts data is from the table reporter.super_simple_record.
So you could double check that table for entries for newer titles. There
should be one row for each bib record in your system, including deleted bib
records.

That data is kept up to date by a trigger that could be disabled on your system.

The following SQL should show you if that trigger exists for the
biblio.record_entry table.
select tgrelid::regclass, tgname from pg_trigger where tgname~'simple_rec';

If it doesn’t exist, then I would suggest you look through your database
upgrade logs and scripts to see what might have gone wrong. There may have
been an update to that trigger that didn’t fully complete during your upgrade.
I just took a quick look at the 2.10->2.12 upgrade sql scripts and I couldn’t
spot a likely spot, I don’t see super_simple_record mentioned anywhere, or the
trigger.

You can also perform some queries on the reporter.old_super_simple_record view,
which is where the data actually comes from. If entries for newer titles shows
up in that view, then I think you can try to just re-enable and rebuild the
data.

You can attempt to re-enable that trigger with the following SQL, there is a
nice shortcut function that tries to delete the trigger, empty out
reporter.super_simple_record and then re populates it and enables the trigger.

Begin;
Select reporter.refresh_materialized_simple_record();
--Check to see if data looks correct.
select * from reporter.super_simple_record where id >= 26; -- use a bib id
from after your upgrade.

Then do a “Rollback;” to get rid of changes if things don’t look right, or do a
“Commit;” if everything looks good.

That command will take some time to work through all your bib records.

Subject: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Reports - Simple Record Extracts

Hi,

after upgrade from Evergreen 2.10 to 2.12 (currently we are on 2.12.4) we have
discovered that some values extracted from the bibliographic record were not
included to reports. This specifically applies to simple record extracts,
particularly to these fields:

Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Bib Record -> Simple Record Extracts -> Author
(normalized)
Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Bib Record -> Simple Record Extracts -> Title
Proper (normalized)
Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Bib Record -> Simple Record Extracts -> Publisher
(normalized)
Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Bib Record -> Simple Record Extracts ->
Publication Year (normalized)
Item -> Call Number/Volume -> Bib Record -> Simple Record Extracts -> ISBN

The problem concerns not only "item" source (also "Invoice" and other sources
using simple record extracts), however, applies only to records created after
the upgrade - in cases when record had been created before upgrade and only new
copy was added after the upgrade, the record extracts are included to report
correctly, see example
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12KmF3jWjwWWFAzUt99HgF5rcWSh4Z8Bbj248iD1hn50/edit?usp=sharing
(items added after upgrade are red).

Could this be a bug?
And is there a way how to get correct values in autor column, title column etc.
to reports? Maybe there is any other way than using simple record extracts?
Thanks a lot for any hint.

Eva

No, they are not the same thing.

The Last Activity Date is when the last time the user logged into the OPAC or

Update Time

Hello Everyone,

I had a question regarding the Last Activity Date that you see in a patron’s
account vs the Record Last Update Time found in the ILS User source in the
report builder. Are they the same thing? How do they populate?

Thanks!

2017-10-06 Thread Lynn Floyd
No, they are not the same thing.

The Last Activity Date is when the last time the user logged into the OPAC
or was verified by SIP. The Record Last Update time was the last time the
record was updated via Edit.

2017-03-21 Thread Willis, Beth
Hi Tricia,

We have a report template that filters on owning library, checkout date
(range) and copy location. The last filter could easily be dropped if not
relevant for your library.

I have attached screenshots of our template configuration.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I hope this helps.

Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Reports Question

2016-01-06 Thread McCanna, Terran
Hi Elizabeth,

Here is the description of the one we use. It may not get you everything you
want, but it might get you part of the way there. We do it by Home Library and
not by Owning Library - each system in our consortium that accepts payments
through the TPAC has its own credit card contract and any payments made through
the TPAC by their patrons go to them.

Uses Credit Card Payment source (you may have to look under "All Available
Sources" at the bottom of the source list).

Displayed Fields:

Credit Card Payment -> xact -> User -> Home Library -> Short (Policy) Name as
"Patron Home Library"
Credit Card Payment -> payment_ts as "Payment Date/Time"
Credit Card Payment -> xact -> User -> Current Library Card -> Barcode
Credit Card Payment -> xact -> User -> First Name
Credit Card Payment -> xact -> User -> Middle Name
Credit Card Payment -> xact -> User -> Last Name
Credit Card Payment -> Payment -> Payment ID
Credit Card Payment -> amount as "Payment Amount"
Credit Card Payment -> cc_processor as "Credit Card Processor"

Base Filters:

Credit Card Payment -> payment_ts (Date) (Between)
Credit Card Payment -> cc_processor (Is not NULL)
Credit Card Payment -> cash_drawer (Is NULL)
Credit Card Payment -> xact -> User -> Home Library -> Organizational Unit ID
(In list)

Subject: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Reports Question

Hello,

I had a question regarding building a report template for our TPAC fine
payments for our business manager. She would like a report that shows what
amounts are paid via the TPAC for lost or overdue items by owning library. We
use Paypal PayFlow, but that only gives her the grand total. Does anyone have
a template that they would be willing to share or suggestions on which
reporting source I should use?

Thank you very much,

Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Reports Troubleshooting

2012-11-15 Thread Ben Shum

Hi Geoff,

I think killing clark-kent is a bit brute force, but I've done it myself
on a few occasions for bad runaway reports.

I'd also suggest a look over
http://evergreen-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=scratchpad:random_magic_spells#cancel_query_report
to see how one would cancel a report from the database side of things.

I also use SELECT * FROM reporter.currently_running; to see what reports
are holding up the line too.

My library is having trouble with the reports interface. It seems
like something may have clogged up our system somehow and now reports
are not running. I've restarted the service and made sure that it is
running properly but reports are still not running. I figured at this
point the best action would be to purge pending reports? I'm not
really sure how to go about that from the system as asking everyone to
delete pending reports would take far too long and be very
unpredictable. Any assistance on this matter would be greatly
appreciated!

Re: [OPEN-ILS-GENERAL] Reports Task Force Meeting: Thursday, June 21 at 2:30pm Eastern

2012-06-29 Thread Turner, Jennifer M
The [brief] minutes from last week's Reports meeting have been posted to the
website:
http://open-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=evergreen-reports:taskforce_meetings#past_meetings.
  They are directly available here:
http://evergreen-ils.org/meetings/evergreen/2012/evergreen.2012-06-21-14.31.html

Although not apparent in the minutes, this meeting included a discussion of
interested libraries pooling resources to develop ideas from the Evergreen
Reports wish list,
http://open-ils.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=evergreen-reports:taskforce_wish_lists,
and what the task force might do to assist the process, keeping in mind that
we don't actually have a Reports Task Force budget. A couple of ideas were
tossed about, including volunteers from the task force working to solicit
vendor quotes for development for the various wish list items. However, there
was not a large enough group present to gain consensus on a plan at the
meeting. If you have thoughts about how the Reports Task Force might proceed
on this, please share these ideas on the Evergreen Reports list
(evergreen-repo...@list.evergree-ils.orgmailto:evergreen-repo...@list.evergree-ils.org)
or email me directly and I will summarize for the list.

Thanks,
Jenny (PALS)
