Hi all,
I did a fresh install on the client machine(iscsi initiator) from
ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 and now everything works. My iscsitarget is still
ubuntu 8.10. Now my initiator is able to discover all 3 logical
volumes. Thanks to all who have helped me in resolving this issue.
Special thanks to Mike
Long post, but please bear with me :)

I am not sure if they put anything in 865, but the base 865 is too old
for 2.6.27.11, if CONFIG_SYSFS_DEPRECATED_V2 is not used which it looks
like it is not.
Try upgrading to the tool version based on 87
The version for open-iscsi is 2.0.865-lubuntu4 , iscsitarget is
0.4.15+svn148-2.lubuntu2 and the kernel is 2.6.27.11.
But i have uninstalled and reinstalled the packages numerous times to no avail.

I have been receiving this error right from start. I can ping both the
systems from one another.
I think this is a bug reported here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/open-iscsi/+bug/289470
here is the ietd.conf

I ran into an odd interaction between having Data Digest enabled for a
session and the classic Unit Attention check condition for the first
command issued during a session other than Inquiry. My base setup is
as follows:
Open iSCSI Initiator: 2.0-869.2

different error.
I changed my setup. Earlier i had a cross over cable with static ip
connection between the 2 systems but now i have connected the systems
to a router with dhcp. And the error is as follows: Please help.
