This unfortunately made oe-core master before I had the chance to ask:
how was the SRCREV determined? There is no '2024023' tag in the repo,
so where did the tag and the hash come from?
I'd appreciate if you send a followup patch including the relevant
links as a comment just above SRCREV line for

I guess the recommendation to remove the symlink if needed was a bit
poorly thought out.
On the other hand, I fail to see any benefit whatsoever in a separate
python-is-python3. If you do not have python 2.x installed on target,
there is no difference in whether there is a python symlink on the

That's fine with me too. Let's do that then.

Thanks, I just pushed the corresponding changes to AUH. It's possible
next AUH run won't be perfect, we have to wait
It's in staging, so nothing needs to be done:

I think this last version should be good; these drivers are specific
to x86 hardware and are needed only with meta-intel really. So it's up
to Intel folks how they want to provide graphical support (probably by
making meta-intel enable opencl and depend on meta-clang).

But there is no alternative. Python is python3 and has been for years.

There was a proposal with two option (maybe that was missed) and I
suggested just adding the link and be done with it. We can drop lots of
patches and send tweaks then.

Putting various things in a tuple is an anti-pattern of sorts, as the consumers
have to unpack it into local variables for readability, or access items directly
with indexes, which makes code pretty much unreadable.

You are welcome to send such a backport, but it has to preserve
existing behaviour by default.
