Hello Massimo, what we suggest to our users, is to migrate a volume, and to create a new VM from that volume. https://help.switch.ch/engines/documentation/migrating-resources/ the bad thing is that the new VM has a new IP address, so eventually DNS records have to be updated by the users.

l2gw_alembic_version; I would strongly suggest to have a common prefix like l2gw_ for all the tables that belong to the same neutron plugin.
