Cant open /sys/class/net//address’: No such file or directory This (slightly misformatted) error strongly suggests a timeout problem with the network card. This timeout has been increased in newer base versions. Updating to a newer base version should fix this problem. (Don't forget to make a snapshot or backup before updating.) And as Glen suggested, it is also advisable to use the 64bit kernel whenever possible, as this is simply a more recent kernel version (with better device drivers) than the 32bit variant. Hi Steve, What is weird is that if I create a ESXi VM and set it to PXE boot it works and loads the openthinclient OS, but every machine I try says the same thing : connection timed out. Could it be due to network cards or something, I am at a loss and don’t know how to proceed? I am getting the exact same error as Richard at just one of my sites. Make sure you set the hardware type to "EN - auto graphics - 64 bit - home in RAM - autologin", and make sure that the hardware type actually has the "64 bit kernel, for newer hardware" selected as the kernel to use.
