The late Laura Kruskal created a box with a sliding drawer — rather like a
matchbox or pencil box — which I imagine could be adapted to make a Chest of

I haven't tried cutting paper with an Exacto knife on them yet.
They are easy to wash by hand or in dishwasher although fitting them into
the dishwasher is a bit tricky.
