I edit OSM all the time (using JOSM, mostly). And I'm quite sure the problem is in Osmand. I just looked at the Shoreham West Breakwater in Osmand — which has the same tags as our local breakwaters here in Oregon — and I see the exact same undesirable outlined style that I'm talking about!

IMHO the issue is not in OsmAnd but is in OSM maps. If that is the case, it would seem the correct action is to either:- Amend the data on the OSM Map. or if you are uncertain how to do this, then:- Add a "note" at the relevant location on the OSM Map. Do you know to do this? (I am not an expert,
