There is a catch the GitHub repository contains development version of routing.xml file, that may but may not be backward compatible with the file version for your OSMAnd application. The save way is to download the APK installation file of your osmand version, open it as ZIP file and extract

Hi Martin, No, don't create a subdirectory for the file, put it in your OsmAnd data directory. The same directory where your .obf map files are located. There is no existing copy of the file in that directory. It is included in the application code, and that version is used UNLESS OsmAnd
